L E T T E R from Jac – Remembering What We Forget

I mean we all know this right? I love beautiful things, there’s no doubt. I also recognise that experiences shape me over things. But then I forget. So quickly I forget. So I have a little game I play. There’s something I want; so I ask how much life do I have to exchange, doing what, in order to acquire that thing I want. Exactly how many hours? What do I sacrifice when I do that thing? Does it feel like a good exchange for that thing I want?

And then with all that on the table, is it really that thing I am after, or is it in fact down time, a holiday, an experience. What am I trying to fulfill here with the idea of buying this?

The purchase gets pretty clear with this as a consideration. Hope it helps.
