L E T T E R from Jac – Zen Wednesday; Accepting We Know Nothing

It is easy for us to think ‘aaahhh, this is it’ when evolving. To joyously think we have found some solid ground in which we can stick a flag in and make a claim that finally, we have arrived. I have found that the moment I do this, a tidal wave washes me as far from that place as it can.

Part of the ambiguity of life is accepting that we know nothing. As Seung Sahn says, to hold ‘Don’t Know Mind’ at all times. To not cling to anything especially our perceived knowledge. To not gloat over our growth. Self-development and spirituality right now is a minefield of ‘little frogs’ – puffed full of narcissism and ego. Let’s not add to that on any level. Keep ourselves in check, in alignment and full of humility, awe and wonder at all the oceans we don’t even yet perceive.
