Today I want you to undertake a little exercise. Carve out 30-60 minutes and sit down and write out how you hope your life will look like in 20 years. What will the days be filled with, how will you hold yourself, how will you have spent the last two decades. Get really detailed, make it stunning.
Then, look at your life now, in the present, in an expansive way, broad brush strokes, avoiding the detail. What might it take, for your heart, mind, body and soul to get to that place in two decades time? What seeds would you need to start planting now? What would you let go of in the next few years that doesn’t serve you? What would you have to embody, to ripen into the wiser version of yourself? Do this before you read on…
Then, what if you only had 5 years to live? What if that lofty 20 year goal was quartered? How would you become more diligent, tenacious and determined? What would you deem important and what would you not? What would you sweat, and what would you lay to rest? Who would you forgive? Where would you find your anger being placed? What would self love and compassion look like. What if it was just a single year? Arrange your life accordingly. Don’t wait. Get to work.
