I always come back to this quote, as a reminder to get myself realigned. I tend to lean into anxiety, although 1000% better than before I started Integrated Meditation 12 years back (a time in which my anxiety was crippling) it’s my go to state when overwhelmed. Decades of programming wired in it though. So asking the simple question ‘am I tense?’ gives me instant feedback into where I am at. Tension is striving. Tension is pushing. Tension is controlling. Relaxation comes from trust. From surrender. From flow.
So we can check into seeing where we are at, and if it’s pointing us in the direction we want to go. From here we can shift. Sometimes it needs to be mental and sometimes physical. More often than not, a combination of the two.
