This time of year is supposed to be all about fresh starts, and new beginnings and a ‘wealth of opportunity’ but it can also be insanely overwhelming! This is the time of year a lot of our students get in touch feeling down and depressed instead of motivated and inspired. And without the right tools, it can be challenging. So I’m going to share a few things over the next few weeks that I know work and will help you get aligned. My key advice if you meditate, get deep into your practice. Get determined. Get inspired. If you learnt meditation with us, over the next few days we’ll be gifting you a HUGE amount of tools and knowledge as part of our new launch so stay tuned or come resit a course with us. If you haven’t learnt meditation with us, do yourself a favour and come and learn, it will change your life.
Secondly, if you’re ready to get serious about the year ahead, attend our Creativity, Clarity and Consciousness Workshop this Saturday in person in Sydney (and also available online, cut offs for online registration are 3pm Friday) and also in Melbourne in February. It’s an entire day packed with tools and takeaways to see you glide gracefully and creatively through 2018. You can check out the details HERE. We also have a special offer where if you book another course or workshop (Meditation or the Advanced Meditation Workshop) you receive 50% off the second module. That offer extends for if you book for two people also for a Workshop!
For today’s little instalment though!
Firstly, note these words by Arnold Bennett,
“The chief beauty about time is that you cannot waste it in advance. The next year, the next day, the next hour are lying ready for you, as perfect, as unspoiled, as if you had never wasted or misapplied a single moment in all your life. You can turn over a new leaf every hour if you choose.”
Now,
Make a list of all that you’re proud of.
Make a list of all that you’re grateful for.
Make a list of the things in your life that bring you joy.
Now from that mindset, remember there is no race against anything. The only person you have to be in check against, is you. So removing EVERYONE else from your minds story about where you should be, where are you really at?
In reality, without beating yourself up about everything you are apparently not, without sliding down a shame spiral, without already damning the year ahead, given that we are literally only a few days into this year, choose how you want to feel this year. What are the experiences you want to have? Not boxes ticked but feelings and experiences. Eliminate the doing, and just go with the being.
Write it down.
Now, is it realistic? Are you committed to this? How committed? 100% or 40%? Be honest.
More tomorrow….
Sent with love,
Jac
