“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that” Martin Luther King, Jr.
Diwali is a special celebration in India, celebrated with light – to symbolise when light wins over darkness. For me personally this can mean many things including love and compassion overcoming fear, higher self prevailing over lower self, creativity succeeding over contracting. Kindness over selfishness.
Diwali occurs in Australia Thursday October 19, and we are hosting an intimate evening from 6.30-8pm at The Broad Place School in Sydney.
There will be a group meditation (meditators of all styles are welcome), a short talk by Jac, a Vedic ceremony, and chai, Ayurvedic tea and sweet Indian treats to celebrate and time to socialise together. This event has a small fee to accomodate catering, and all proceeds will go to the Fred Hollows Foundation to restore eyesight to those in need in our indigenous community.
Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by clicking the BOOK NOW button below. Places are very limited. Please note we cannot take cash on the evening and advance purchases need to be made.
We look forward to seeing you there,
Jai Guru Deva
