Inspiration comes to us through a channel of creativity. It’s not out there ‘waiting for us’ it’s flowing from within us. We then recognise that creativity, inspiration (and love and compassion, gratitude etc) all come from within us, then we can stop hanging about waiting for ‘it to strike’.
For those of us that already understand this, we are doing the deeper work on keeping ourselves in top form so that we can channel more of it. We’re not sitting about on our hands, waiting for the ‘perfect moment’ or ‘the right idea’ to be laser beamed down from somewhere.
We are engaged with living in alignment, authentically with our values in check, and daily. We are meditating, we are keeping our bodies in an optimal state. We are leaning away from our negativity biases and rewiring our brains to experience positivity. We understand gratitude as a practice, and that intention setting isn’t woo woo and requires action partnered with it. We get our hands dirty, we do the work, and we stay open and curious.
I’m feeling super pumped on this as I just returned from Melbourne hosting one of our Broad Work Place workshops, the first of a year-long program for an unreal company, and I am always on such a high after these, as the work is progressive and determined. It’s empowering people to not only understand themselves better but to take control of their own lives and understand that they need to take an active not a passive role within them. That we are not one person at work and another at home, but that we are one person that can work with these things at all time. That inspiration and creativity are already theirs, and they can master it with the right tools and techniques.
If you’re having a flat day and feeling ‘uninspired’ start looking at the things above and working out how you can empower yourself through daily practices and knowledge of these. If you’re in a workplace/company that currently needs some upgrading with creativity, clarity, and innovation, send me an email.
