Last week felt like a big Letter writing week of motivation and productivity. Which is nice and I hope for some of you helpful. Most of the time I feel like I am writing these Letters to myself, to learn, understand and motivate my own mind.
What’s also excellent is falling apart and putting yourself back together too. A friend and creative collaborator Tory, says ‘I think that needs a gold star’ a lot, for when you’re feeling terrible and are barely functioning, it’s a way to congratulate yourself for just getting through the day. I love it. So even if today the only thing you do is get dressed and send a single email, gold star. If you get some washing in the washing machine and remember to hang it out, gold star. I can’t keep up motivation and productivity for too long personally, without hitting yet another creative rut or bend in the road. And at those times, I am just fuddling through the days. If this is also you, award yourself as many gold stars as you can. And remember, even if you fall FLAT on your face, it’s still a forward movement.
Written with love,
