I have found time and time again, with our students that have had life pulled out from under them that they always come to the same place. Whether it’s because there’s been a terminal diagnosis, a relationship breakdown, family trauma, a redundancy – everyone usually ends up VALUING;
- Time and how they spend it
- Being with people they love
- Spending time in nature
- A daily meditation practice
- Taking care of their mental and physical health
And everything else falls away, the perception of what is ‘important‘ peels back – the worrying what other people think, the stressing over small things, the daily overthinking and not being present and getting caught in the drama.
What if we didn’t wait for life to knock us over, and we returned to and reminded ourselves every day of what we value. If we went after it every day, the things that are truly important…
