To say ‘It’s a weird time’ is to wildly understate the state of the world. Perhaps you are stuck in self isolation, you’re frontline and dealing with the pandemic directly, or your country is undergoing a massive revolution, election, or state border closures, or a wildfire or natural disaster etc. Regardless of this, right now, you may not your self, you might feel unhinged and a little or a lot off. We need to all truly grasp, that this is going to be expected. We are all going through this, we are all in this together. There are moments when I forget what’s going on, and then are moments where my eyes boggle and my brain can’t commute.
What I want to ask of you is – if you’re not coping, give yourself some compassion. If you know in your heart of hearts this isn’t going to be enough, if the merciful being within you is too quiet – REACH OUT FOR HELP. Call a hotline, get help, ask a friend or family. It’s a time to be incredibly honest with ourselves and others. And if you feel you have the capacity to do so – reach out to everyone you can to see if they’re okay. Don’t assume.
Let’s all share a lot of love, we need it, the world needs it.
