When it comes to a meditation practice, I liken it often to anything else in your life, if you want the results to be a priority, you have the make the THING the priority. Like getting fit, you have to exercise. Eating wonderful food means sourcing wonderful produce. Having a dynamic, alive brain, means giving your brain a work out with reading, study and games.
This takes planning. I know that if I don’t schedule in exercise, I will not exercise. Once in a blue moon, I leap out of my seat and think, now is the exact moment I need to go for a huge walk/gym/yoga!! 99.9% of the time I have it scheduled in.
In alignment with this, pop your meditation in your calendar, so you know when that day you will meditate. Perhaps you wander about in a ‘bliss bubble’ and in a moment of gratitude are spontaneously inspired to meditate. I do not have this experience! I have full days, and like every other meeting or appointment important to me, I schedule it in. An appointment with myself. And I feel we need as many appointments with ourselves as possible with today’s living, to reconnect and be inspired!!
