Often when we are in a crisis, we have no idea what to do. There’s not exactly a handbook on what to do when your friend says their partner is leaving them, or has been diagnosed with cancer, or say, a pandemic hits and wipes out a family member’s business. Compassion can be called into action through listening. Through checking in. Through a simple tiny gesture. More often than not, it’s enough to know people you love are thinking of you.
What can you do to share compassion at the moment with those you know and love, and even those you don’t? What small actions can you take? Where can you donate your money or your time? How might you be of a little service?
