Often resilience is viewing as a strength, a tough as nails approach, unwavering attitude after so much endurance. But, resilience is the result of facing and embracing our humanity over and over again. It’s not about rejecting weakness, or sadness or grief. It’s about embodying and accepting it all. All the gritty bits, ashamed parts, and all the quandaries and fragility that means we are human.
What would it mean, feel like and look like to fully embody the full spectrum of who you are? What would your days look like if you held yourself with complete love? It’s something I’ve personally been working away at. The more I accept myself the more that I’ve rejected in the past pops up to the surface. It’s often frustrating, yet also teaches patience as we can only work at the rate that our subconscious will reveal what it will back to us. And the continual sweet embrace of certain parts of ourselves makes it worth the patience and the process.
