Our bodies are the host for our consciousness, and when we are fatigued, physically have overdone it, or unwell, consciousness will respond. We know that when we have burnt out physically, we have little room to cope emotionally. Sometimes people think meditation is going to be the silver bullet. And in all honesty, many teachers sell it in that way – this magical pill that will solve everything. If only! Meditation will help us with mental resilience, creativity, and a gamut of other things, but it’s not a cure-all. Taking care of the body, through yoga, exercise, nourishing food, quality sleep, quality hydration, and time in nature, is also important.
