In Taoism, aligning oneself with ones true nature, which is all of nature, is key. Our mind and ego, are in a way separate to this naturalness, and so we must learn to cultivate space from them. Our anxieties and our thoughts are not real, but we give them life by embodying them, believing them. In Taoism, everything is accepted as transient. We can also include thoughts, emotions, negative experiences within this, and return to our true source.
When riddled with thoughts, we can remind ourselves;
‘I am not this thought. I am not this ego’.
