L E T T E R from Jac – What Does It Matter

Being the Virgo bossy pants that I am, being right was always an agenda I carried. ‘I told you so’ was a phrase I couldn’t wait to slip from my lips. I was addicted to being ‘in the right’. So boring.

Over almost a decade now, I have thankfully learnt a lot from Arran. I have seen in his business and personal life how much he lets the unimportant and unnecessary go to the keeper. He’s not interested in personally being correct all the time. When he does stand firmly though, people really listen, with respect and sometimes awe. As a result, he is very rarely challenged either, because he is taken so seriously. It’s generally a very conflict free way of life, no nit picking, no resentment either.

The interesting thing about letting ‘being right all the time’ drop is that you’re not as interested in other people being corrected either. Being ‘right’ is so subjective, and it’s an armour the ego puts up. So let’s drop that armour.
