Every day, we saturate ourselves in thoughts, unchosen, not always well meaning, often chaotic. We must reconcile this is the case. We can’t choose our thoughts, but we can choose the ones we want to engage with. It’s the thoughts that we hold onto, that we worship with our attention that we become. So rather than letting worry fray our minds, and going over and over the thing we regret saying, or anticipating a conversation that might not even take place, let’s choose to direct our minds well. With intention and love and kindness to the things that do matter to us. Let’s be captains of our ship, and not lost overboard in the stormy chaos.
