How easy is it for you to ask for what you really want? How easy is it for you to know what you really want? How easy is it for you to ask for what you deserve? Rather than ask for it, how about how easy would it be for you to demand it? Yikes!
One benefit to a crisis, a rock bottom, a wake-up call or any other unwelcome disruption – whether it’s for us as individuals or as a collective, for our backyard or the world – it grants us clarity and with it a wicked amount of energy to take action, to move our butts, to make change and to propel us forward. Why do we wait so long? Why do we wait until the stone in our shoe has sliced our foot open before we do something about it?
It can be easier to wait for the push, until that choice is forced upon us. There is a dynamic energy, a momentum that accompanies this shove that makes the action feel and seem easier. We’re fired up, ready to act, to make our demands and to follow through – there is power oozing through our very pores, we’re strong, we’re invincible and we’re ready to get that job done!
So, why wait? This is our challenge. We only have to pause, breathe deeply, and quietly listen to our intuition to know what it is we’re after. We can use every new day – grateful we’re here – as the catalyst to fire us up, to be courageous and to take that step forward to claim our legacy.
“You deserve the best. Never feel unworthy or not justified in having the best. I tell you, this is your heritage; but, you have to accept it. You have to expect it; you have to claim it.
To do so is not demanding too much.” – Guru Dev, Swami Brahmananda Saraswati
