L E T T E R – Self Acceptance

This Letter today stems from the Letter I wrote to you a few days back, What Might You Be If You Just Let Go. The inside-out philosophy is that what’s occurring for us internally is then creating our experience of the world. Teachers like Aurobindo, Krishnamurti, Brene Brown, Pema Chodron, Michael Neil, Syd Banks and so many more, all teach from this standpoint. That there is one thing, created from within us, that connects all things. And from this place within us, our worlds are created. It starts ‘in here’.

So this is why self-acceptance, compassion for self and love for self are so vital. And we get so busy projecting out onto others from an empty place, grasping and needing from others for our fulfillment that we forget the essence of the equation. Example, have you ever been in the worst mood on the best holiday and couldn’t shake it. Have you ever been in the most terrible meeting and felt like laughing out loud. We are an inside job and the exterior is just trimmings.

I used to be in PR, Advertising and Marketing. My job was in essence to make people think they needed stuff outside of them (only my clients stuff, duh) in order to feel fulfilled. Now I’ve flipped my work and I hope people realise what they ultimately need is inside of them and then from THAT place go and have a ball enjoying all the unreal stuff outside of them.

So, today’s Letter is to remind you of this, to keep awareness on the fact that you can have it all, but it starts with you.

Sent with love,
