Have you ever noticed that one day you can feel fabulous, the next horrible? How actually one single hour you can be frustrated, the next light and buoyant. Lockdown really shows us the fragility and fracturing of our minds doesn’t it. It’s like groundhog day, yet we feel wildly different depending on the day.
How we carry our minds, ourselves, is how we feel about the ever changing outside world. As Pema Chodron so beautifully says, ‘you are the sky, everything else is just the weather’. This is where meditation makes an enormous difference in our understanding of this. For we sit, and each sitting is different. We can’t control it, we can’t master it, there’s nowhere to go. And we begin to dissolve the clinging nature of our mind to every situation. Remember today to prioritise your twice daily meditation practice.
