A morning routine is a beautiful way to set up the day, to encourage calmness and clarity, and allow the body to kick start your metabolism. Figuring out what’s right for you is part of the experience. To give you an example, I wake no later than 5am each week day, I tongue scrape do 20-30 minutes of yoga at home, then meditate for 20 minutes and drink warm water with fresh squeezed lemon before a cup of tea. These things are non-negotiable, whether I am travelling or at home. Additions to this routine are oil pulling, an abhyanga massage and a fiercely brisk walk or yoga class at Flow Atheletic.
Write out a list of things that feel right for you, and that are manageable time wise. And then stick to it. The improvements in your day will be immense, and after a week you’ll find it much easier to motivate yourself to get out of bed that half hour or hour earlier! Doing the same thing around the same time allows for mental and physical clarity, so try this also.
If you have no concept of a good yoga routine, try this one for toning and stretching the body and organs, it’s a simple sun salute. And to learn more about meditation, definitely get in touch and I can answer all your questions! firstname.lastname@example.org
